November 6th, 2012

PennDot is gearing up for mother nature's wintry wrath.

Officials laid out their plans to combat the snow today and keep the roadways clear.

38 trucks will be assigned to plow different routes throughout the county.

Crews will work dual shifts and begin working the Monday after Thanksgiving.

With 90 operators and thirty foremen, PennDot is ready for the worst.

PennDot also has 24 thousand tons of salt on hand.

Crews will be working 24 hours a day around the clock once the roadways become an issue.

Hopefully, we will not use up all they have readied for and we'll get lucky with Mother Nature and our Winter :)
