Voting Issues At The Polls
With thousands of people making their way in and out of polling places, were there any issues as people cast their votes?
There are 154 polling locations around Erie County, many of which were packed with people all day long.
The presidential race appears to be bringing more voters out than normal, but things wouldn't run smoothly if it wasn't for the polling officials.
Despite controversy earlier this year regarding voter ID laws, not a lot of conflicts are being reported at the polls.
But there were a few catches. If it's your first time voting, or if you have recently moved, you will need your ID. And if you haven't voted in the last 4 years, you need to re-register. So far this has caused few problems at polls today.
There has been some confusion over voter ID in Crawford and Venango Counties.
In packets of materials prepared for each polling place in advance of the general election, there were signs indicating that voters needed ID in order to vote.
But these were quickly removed once election officials determined that putting them up was a mistake.
