Probing The Issues Concerning College Students

November 6th, 2012

A big group of voters who went to the polls to cast their vote today are college students.

But what issues were they most concerned about during this election?

Several students we talked to today were excited to get out and vote. Many of them cast a vote in an election for the first time.

Students told us they were happy to be able to have their voice heard during this election.

Some students say they made up their mind based on certain issues while others had different concerns.

The loan process and the cost of higher education was a big issue for many students.

Another concern was the economy and jobs.

A Penn State Behrend student said a big issue for him was manufacturing jobs because he's an engineer major.

For some college voters, they said in 2008 their decision was easier but they had a tough time deciding this year.

It's GREAT to see Student's excited to Vote, since it's usually the first "Adult" thing they get to do...And to realize that WITH their votes, also come with them, their concern's about jobs, the economy, and their Schools!!
