All around Erie, lines were out the door today at polling places.

Voter turnout is reaching high numbers.

Erie County Clerk of Elections Doug Smith says unofficial reports indicate voter turnout was around 70 percent.

The exact numbers won't be known until later, but the high turnout is of course because this is a presidential election.

And the weather was pretty pleasant. No rain or snow to keep people inside.

The First Alliance Church in Millcreek was one of the busiest polling places in the county.

Many polling places said by noon they surpassed their number of voters from the April primary
