Obama Wins Reelection
Results from the November 6th, 2012 elections are as follows:
Barack Obama won reelection by capturing the electoral vote 281 to 203 for Mitt Romney.
In Pennsylvania, Obama won with 53% of the vote.
Democrat Bob Casey won reelection in his bid for U.S. Senator by defeating Republican Tom Smith. Casey won 55% of the vote with 89% of the precincts reporting.
In Pennsylvania State races, Republican Greg Lucas won the seat for the PA House of Representatives 5th District by defeating his Democratic challenger Jason White 54% to 46%
Democrat Ryan Bizzarro defeated Republican Jason Owen for the PA House of Representatives 3rd District with 54% of the vote.
Democrat Sean Wiley defeated Republic challenger Janet Anderson by a 20% margin - 60% to 40% to win the Pa Senate seat for the 49th District.
Elsewhere, Republican Mike Kelly won reelection to the U.S. Congress 3rd District by defeating Democratic challenger Missa Eaton by a 54% to 42% margin.
Over in the U.S. Congress 5th District Republican Glenn Thompson easily beat Democratic opponent Charles Dumas 64% to 36%.
Kathleen Kane won the race for PA Attorney General by defeating Republican David Freed, 57% to 41%.
And finally, the race for PA State Treasurer went to Democrat Robert McCord who defeated Republican challenger Diana Irey Vaughn by a 53% to 43% margin.
