EARLY MORNING ACCIDENT
An early morning crash sends one person to the hospital with major injuries.
Around One o'clock this morning, rescue crews were called to a one car accident with entrapment about a mile south of the Edinboro exit.
According to state police, the car was southbound on the interstate when the driver fell asleep, causing the car to leave the roadway and strike a tree.
The driver was taken to UPMC Hamot by Lifestar with what are being described as severe, but non-life threatening injuries.
One passenger was in the car at the time, but their injuries are reported to be minor.
