Man Gets Prison Time for Rape of a 9 Year Old

A Harborcreek man will spend as much as 22 years in prison for raping a 9 year old girl.

42 year old Robert Lee Wegemer was sentenced by Judge Ernest DiSantis to the prison time today following a jury trial last July.

The assault happened in June of 2010. Wegemer was arrested and charged with 3 felonies and 2 misdemeanors involving the assault on the youngster in September of 2011.

The judge said today Wegemer raped the 9 year girl at his home after her father, Wegemer's friend at the time dropped her off for Wegemer to watch her.
