Man Charged for Allegedly Hitting Woman with Baseball Bat

November 26, 2012 - An Erie man faces charges after reportedly hitting a woman with a baseball bat.

    According to police, Willie Blanks II, 32, struck a 40-year-old woman in the face with a baseball bat.

    Erie police were called to the 900 block of West 23rd Street around one on Sunday morning when the incident happened.

    The victim was transported to UPMC Hamot.

    Blanks is charged with aggravated assault.

Any word on the condition of the victim? Why wasn't this scumbag charged with attempted murder? Does he have any prior criminal record? Is he still in custody or out on bail? Will the reporter follow up on this story or will this be all we are allowed to know? A little more information on this violent incident please.
