Lone Shark Seafood Set to Open Wednesday in Erie

watch video
November 27, 2012 - Lifelong Erie residents, Sherry and Jack Edkin, are bringing fresh seafood
back to the Erie area. To further tie into the community, they are looking for local artists to help
create a mascot for Lone Shark Seafood.

Lone Shark Seafood will fill the void in the Erie area for a one stop seafood shop. Customers
will have access to fresh and frozen seafood items, as well as recipes to bring new ideas to any
table, and some simple sides to turn your catch into a meal. Party trays will be available for
office parties, gatherings, etc, as well as commercial orders for large, special events. Owner,
Sherry Edkin says, "We are strictly a one stop fish and seafood market. We feel the community
is missing a store that offers a diverse, high quality choice for their seafood needs. We will offer
a variety of ocean and lake fish, as well as scallops, crab legs, live lobster and clams... just to
name a few."

Because of their love for Erie, they are looking for a local artist to help design a mascot for the
shop. Jack Edkin says, "We want to build close ties with the community. We are hoping a
mascot contest will entice our talented local artists to get involved, and have fun designing us a
mascot that fits the theme and name of the store. Prizes will likely include in store credit, so of
you love seafood and can draw, we're looking for a submission from you!" Get in touch via
email or Facebook to learn more about the contest and to submit your entry.

Lone Shark Seafood opens soon at 3856 Peach Street in Erie - in the Colonial Plaza near Andy's
Pub! Tentative hours will be: Tuesday thru Friday 9am - 6pm, Saturday 9am - 5pm. Weekly
specials will be advertised in-store, online, and on their Facebook page.

"We feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to serve the community that has served us for so
many years, and we hope everyone comes out to support us. This will ensure that Lone Shark
Seafood will become a staple in the Erie area for years to come!" says owner, Sherry Edkin. For
more information, contact Sherry Edkin at 814-218-3865 or email lonesharkseafood.com
