Charges Dropped in Child Molestation Case
David Montgomery, a Collegiate Academy teacher accused of molesting three young boys will go to trial in January. However the prosecution has dropped six of the nine charges against him.
Defense attorney Gene Placidi said today charges involving the two younger boys have been withdrawn.
The case will move forward with only the charges related to the oldest boy, now 14.
Erie police originally charged Montgomery with three counts each of indecent assault, endangering the welfare of a child and corruption of minors, all first-degree misdemeanors.
Montgomery has been suspended without pay since his arrest. He is free on bond.
