Keep An Eye Out For Your Delivered Packages

watch video
This is the time of year when delivery services like the Post Office, Fed Ex and U-P-S deliver millions of holiday packages.

Many of those packages end up on your porch if no one is home to accept the delivery.

Nationally, UPS expects to deliver 527 million packages between Thanksgiving and Christmas, and that's a lot of opportunity for thieves.
With all those packages, delivery drivers are on the move, but still doing their best to insure your package is out of sight if no one is home to answer the bell or knock alerting you there is a package outside waiting for you.

In some cases, say at an apartment building,  the drivers will leave a note if no one answers the door, telling them  there is a delivery.
You can sign the back and the next time the driver stops, they'll take that notice then leave the package, otherwise a safe place will be found for your delivery

If you're expecting a package check for it often and bring it inside immediately.
check to see if the shipping company has digital alerts. they'll tell you of the impending delivery
