Shooting Inside A Coudersport Church Leaves One Dead
Tragedy this morning out of the small community of Coudersport, that's in Potter County about 2 and a half hours from Erie after a man walked into the First United Presbyterian Church and shot his ex-wife to death.
State police in Coudersport report that 53 year old Darlene Sitler was shot to death inside the church around 11:30 this morning.
An online news service out of Coudersport reported that 53 year old Greg Eldred, reported to be an elementary school music teacher was taken into custody shortly after the shooting.
Police report he entered a side door at the church and opened fire and say the suspect and victim were divorced. No one else was injured.
Eldred was reportedly held by church parishioners until police arrived.
