County Council Looking to Replace Beeman's Seat
Erie County Council is taking the next step to replace former council member Ebert Beeman following his recent removal.
Councilman Fiore Leone tells us they have 30 days to find a replacement for Beeman.
Council is in the process of setting up a procedure that allows people who are interested to send in their resumes.
In this particular case, a Republican was elected, so their next candidate has to be a registered Republican to achieve this office.
That person will serve out the remainder of Beeman's term, which goes until the end of 2013.
Leone tells us they will be advertising for the next 10 days trying to get interested candidates in for interviews.
Interested people should send a resume to the County Clerks Office no later than December 14th.
