December 3rd, 2012

Offices for recently elected and re-elected state representatives opened for the first time today.

State Representative elect Greg Lucas of the 5th District opened an office in the Edinboro, borough building room 215 located at 124 Meadville Street, and an office in Linesville at 161 West Erie Street.

State Representative elect Ryan Bizzarro of the 3rd District opened his doors in Millcreek at 1101 Peninsula Drive, Suite 209.

And state Representative Curt Sonney of the 4th District moved his Corry office to 434 North Center Street in the city of Corry.

Those elected state officials are now on the payroll, but will not be sworn in until January first.

So what if you need help between now and then?

Almost a month has come and gone since Election Day, and now local elected state officials are moving forward with their jobs in Harrisburg.

It's a transitional period for outgoing and incoming state officials.

The outgoing legislatures were taken off the payroll at midnight on December first.

Newly elected officials replaced them on that day.

These newly elected officials are able to meet with constituents and even though they aren't in session and won't be sworn in until January, they are ready to work and hear from constituents.

They will be sworn in on January 1st in Harrisburg.
