December 4th, 2012

Sentencing took place this morning for a man facing numerous charges including criminal attempt at homicide.

It started with two cars colliding and ended in gunfire.

Eighteen-year-old Freddy Dominguez allegedly fired shots at another car driven by 20-year-old Kyle Moyer when their vehicles collided.

No one was injured, but Dominguez pleaded guilty and could face up to forty-two months in state prison.

Dominguez was sentenced to up to six months behind bars for simple assault, up to two years behind bars for reckless endangerment and up to one year behind bars for carrying a firearm without a license.

Comments

If he was carrying a gun without a license, particularly a handgun, then he should have been charged with attempted murder. Why did the prosecutor not pursue the more serious charges with this crazy scumbag? Our DA's office is a joke.
