Residents Demand Something Be Done About Viaduct
Local residents are insisting that action be taken on the McBride viaduct bridge.
Some of these residents even say officials are dragging their feet on the project.
More than 25 people came to the meeting last night to look over and discuss the possible plans for this bridge project.
This meeting was part of a federally funded two year study expected to be done by Nov 2013.
Pittsburgh based LR Kimball laid out the options for the bridge project which include rehabilitation, total replacement or demolition with traffic improvements.
The bridge was said to be unsafe and structurally deficient.
Officials are hoping one of these changes will alleviate the major issues with traffic delays and pedestrian traffic.
This is phase 3 of the 4 phase project.
Officials are hoping to determine a plan by summer of 2013.
