Day Two of the Kozloff Trial

Day two of the Rachel Kozloff murder trial began this morning in Judge Shad Connelly's courtroom. The defense is expected to present their case today.
Yesterday we told you Kozloff's lawyer Jamie Mead deferred his opening statement he's expected to present the defense this afternoon after the Commonwealth tried to Peg Kozloff as a jealous girlfriend.
This morning District Attorney Jack Daneri continued with his case calling final witnesses to the stand.
Daneri began questioning the Erie detective who conducted two interviews with Kozloff. Once on April 13, the day after Henry was shot and killed, and the second three days later.
The detective, Julie Kemling, read text messages between Kozloff and her 31 year old boyfriend Michael Henry.
In those messages, 30 year old Kozloff sent her boyfriend a text saying quote she "smelled sex on him" and believed he was cheating on her.
More texts were read by Kemling one message stating Kozloff telling Henry she missed him and she missed being around him... that text sent two hours before Henry was killed.
Detective Kemling said she gave Henry numerous chances to confess to the murder of Mike Henry, including self defense, but Kozloff denied killing him saying she loved him.
During cross examination, Mead says there are consistencies in Kemling's initial interview with Kozloff like Kozloff saying to Kemling she was afraid of retaliation because no one messed with "Big Mike."
During cross examination yesterday, mead said Kozloff possibly acted in self defense because she was afraid of Henry. But the prosecution still states that Kozloff was desperate for a relationship with Henry.
Kozloff said in her interview with Kemling that she hasn't seen her gun since March 25. The alleged murder weapon has still not been recovered.
