Erie City Council Discusses Rezoning On Parade Street

December 5, 2012 - Erie City Council heard from a developer this morning about the possibility of re-zoning property on Parade Street.

Developer Mike Peck wants property located between Parade Street and Ash Street on the south side of East 19th Street changed.

Peck wants the nearly 6 acres of land changed from traditional neighborhood commercial and light manufacturing to general commercial district.

Peck told council they don't have specific plans for the area located across the street from their brand new parade street commons.

That raised questions for several council members.

Council did not vote on this today they're expected to make a decision on December 19th.
