WQLN Pioneer Tom McLaren Dies
Tom McLaren was one of the people who first climbed on board when the movement to start a public broadcasting station here began.
He was the first host of Sunrise Classics, and went on to define the stations format as Jazz, Classics and News.
After retiring in 2001 as station manager, McLaren immediately returned as a volunteer, archiving the stations considerable stock of historic video, audio, and printed material.
