December 17, 2012

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Union City reopened today after getting a much needed facelift... The store offers a vital service to residents who have no transportation to stores like Walmart and the Millcreek Mall.

Just take a look at the newly renovated Salvation Army Thrift Store...

Managers say just a few months ago, conditions were deplorable and the store was in dire need of a makeover.

The Salvation Army Thrift Store reopened this morning, after a week of revitalizing the inside.

Store manager Kimberly Wendt tells us they do cater to the people of Union City, mainly because of the economy.

A lot of people don't have vehicles and can't leave Union City to get to other stores...having the Salvation Army Thrift Store up and running is vital to the community.

And with the clock ticking on Christmas, the store gives customers an opportunity to buy loved ones gifts for a reasonable price.
