McDonalds Exec Shares his Story

December 20, 2012- The story of a local boy who done good was told in the first person at Strong Vincent High School today.

Jerry Angelotti once worked flipping burgers at a McDonalds Restaurant. He still works under the Golden Arches, but thanks to his passion to do a good job, he now has a huge piece of the McDonalds operation under his supervision.

Mr. Angelotti began his McDonald's career in 1979 as a crew person in Erie (West 26th Street location) on the grill and held several restaurant positions up to Restaurant Manager before relocating to Warren, Ohio in 1983. In 1985 he was promoted to Area Supervisor, a position he held until 1997.

After that, Angelotti Joined McDonald's Corporation as an Assistant Manager and, from 1997 to 2006, held multiple positions including Field Consultant and Operations Manager. In April of 2006 he relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana as the Field Service Manager and in 2008 moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota as the Director of Field Service.

Jerry Angelotti is accountable for the franchising decisions and franchisee relationships for 90 Owner/Operator entities.  Jerry's more than seven hundred restaurants are located in 10 states including Louisiana, Tennessee, Mississippi, Florida and Arkansas, and generate approximately $1.9 billion in annual revenues.  In addition to franchising, he oversees teams that are responsible for restaurant operations, training, sequencing/deployment of all initiatives and restaurant technology.

Returning to his hometown today, Jerry Angelotti shared the story of his success, letting the students know that a job accomplished with passion and enthusiasm can carry a person to the top.
