watch video

December 21, 2012 - Christmas came a few days early for fifth grade students at McKinleyElementary School.

The United Way Young Leaders delivered book bags and sweatshirts to about 120 fifth graders.

The Young Leaders Society also donated school supplies to the students at the beginning of the year.

This is a generous follow up in the spirit of Christmas.

"These students here at McKinley, it's one of the highest poverty rates in the city, so to be able to give them that one thing they can take home to see the look on their faces is just amazing," said Christie Drabic, United Young Leaders Society.

The students were all smiles wearing their sweatshirts today.
