watch video

DECEMBER 21, 2012- In light of an investigation into Iroquois School Superintendent allegedly misspending tax payer dollars to his own benefit, Iroquois School Board President Steven Cabaday and Iroquois School Superintendent Sam Signorino officially resign from their duties.

The investigation found that allegation to be false, but both Signorino and President Steven Cabaday resigned tonight.

After 45 minutes in an Executive Session, the board made a decision regarding the fate of Superintendent Sam Signorino...

Although Signorino was not present, the board announced his resignation...

Following that announcement, President of the School Board Steven Cabaday announced he would be stepping down from the top spot on the board...

This all in response to an investigation alleging Signorino was using district time to work on his classic car parked in a district garage.  The board confirmed the car was parked there, but allegations about Signorino forcing employees to work on the car were false...and district money was not used....

However, Signorino did approach and ask President Cabaday for approval to use the garage.. Cabaday agreed, but he admitted it was a lapse in judgment and that's why he's resigning.

Cabaday will resign but go down to non officer position on the board January 22nd.

On January 31st resignation will go into effect for Signorino.
