Shooting On Erie's West Side

    January 4, 2012 - Erie Police are investigating a shooting that sent one man to the hospital.

    It happened just after 7 o'clock Thursday night on West 17th and Cherry Streets.

Tyvrh Nicholson was shot in the left leg.

    Nicholson told police he was approached by a man who was reportedly trying to rob him, when he wouldn't give him anything, that's when he got shot.

    The man who was shot was transported to UPMC Hamot for treatment.

    Erie police are still investigating.
