
Officials with the economics department at Allegheny College conducted a detailed and rigorous study on the schools true influence throughout the region. Officials presented their findings Tuesday Morning.
Crawford county leaders met at the college Tuesday morning to hear all about the report.
The 62 page document outlines the colleges relationship to the community.
Officials found that in 2004 to 2005, the school contributed about $93,100,000 to the Crawford County economy.
In addition, the institution employed close to 500 workers.
That makes the college the seventh largest employer in Crawford County and the third largest in Meadville.
