Greg Lucas Wants Teachers to Carry Guns in Classroom

watch video

JANUARY 6, 2013- On the heels of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Connecticut that took the lives of 20 children and 6 adults... One local lawmaker wants teachers to be armed in the classroom...

Fifth district State Representative Greg Lucas is sponsoring legislation that would make that legal...

Lucas has taught hunter education and worked as a NRA instructor coach.

He says the possibility of having teachers armed could potentially prevent future tragedies like Sandy Hook....

He believes proper training and courses would be needed for those teachers wishing to carry weapons...

Lucas is 1 of 8 co-sponsors of this legislation...

He is hoping to have it passed by lawmakers in June.

most administrators are not physically capable of restraining or confronting an attacker. By the time a gun is located, that attacker is already preparedw/gun& ammo. Security means building is secure, locked, impenetreble, and a hotline to police. Only outdoor facilities need overseer. There isno valid reason for ASSAULT weapons than there is for a tank or flamethrower! Use your head! These are penile extensions; there have been no female attackers on schools!!!!

I, myself see nothing wrong with outfitting Teacher's with hand guns to protect the Students...the Teacher's of long ago had to protect themselves and their kids, They couldn't wait around until a Sheriff showed up! If wee have willing Teacher's who would want to carry, we CAN teach them all of the proper ways! You do not have to be part of the NRA in order to protect yourself or your charges...you just have to be smart and taught the proper ways to do it! We do NOT have excess supplies of money to afford guards in every school...but there ARE Teacher's who would be willing to learn how and when to use a weapon for protection...Would YOU want to infiltrate a school that had Teacher's with weapons? Most wouldn't! But then, that still leaves movie theaters, malls, etc. where a idiot can attack someone! We need a lot stricter laws, where a prisoner doesn't have any rights if they go to prison, no TV, computers, etc. they NEED hard labor, or else they look at a sentence as a luxury, they don't pay for anything, and, "WE THE PEOPLE" pay for them to be there!

Oh Good Lord, tell me we elected another nut job!!! He has to be part of the NRA. We we cant have gun control, lets solve the problem by giving everyone a gun! What a major TOOL!!!!

This tool is bought and sold by the gun lobby. Go shoot some dumb animals Greg, if it'll make you feel like a better man. But keep your wild wild west NRA paranoia away from my kids.
