Dollar General Denied Variance

The city of Erie Zoning Hearing Board denied a variance change requested by Dollar General.
The Dollar General was interested in building a store on the northwest corner of East 26th and Ash Streets.
The variance change was a request to build a 9 thousand one hundred square foot building.
The board unanimously denied the change.
Officials say the Dollar General will change plans and re-apply.
