watch video

JANUARY 21, 2013- High winds, limited visibility and bone chilling temperatures....

ErieCounty is feeling the wrath of a winter storm that's been belting us tonight.

Travel has been at a stand still off and on in many areas as we feel this wintry blast.

Crews have been working around the clock to keep roadways clean.

Old man winter is back again causing drivers to slow down... PennDOT officials to beef up staff and airport travelers grounded...

At the ErieInternationalAirport all flights for Monday evening were cancelled.

Tuesday flights are on schedule, but may be subject to change according to airline officials.

With reports of limited visibility and slick conditions, roadways are treacherous.

Some motorists even ran the risk of spinning out or getting stuck in the snow.

We spoke with PennDOT officials earlier today.

They tell us they will be covering routes with 35 trucks working 24/7 around the clock.PennDOT officials tell us the main focus is the interstate, followed by high traffic routes and then on to the side streets.

With such treacherous conditions travelers and PennDOT officials say stay home.
