Regional Cancer Center to Begin Educational Seminar Series
The Regional Cancer Center will begin its 2013 Educational Seminar Series as part of its public education awareness programs to help cancer patients, family members, and the general public. The RCC Educational Series has been set for the months of January, February, and March. The topics "Challenges to Providing Cancer Care Today, and Estate, Financial and Retirement Planning" will be discussed.
Part I: Conrad J. Stachelek, MD, PhD RCC, Director Radiation Oncology will speak on "A cancer diagnosis can be life changing news. The impact of that diagnosis is overwhelming to patients and their loved ones. At the Regional Cancer Center physicians and nurses keep patients and their families informed about treatment options and invite them to participate in decisions at every step along the way. Learn more how the RCC's individualized, disease-focused oncology teams develop a coordinated treatment plan created specifically for each patient early in the course of diagnosis and treatment." The Cancer Center provides the most advanced diagnostic and sophisticated technology to cancer patients and families close to home. For more than twenty five years, The Regional Cancer Center has gained critical momentum and is having a significant impact on providing effective therapy resulting in less side effects, quicker recovery and better outcomes.
