January 25, 2013 - The Presque Isle Advisory Committee is reaching out to the Millcreek township supervisors regarding the proposed Sheetz near the park entrance.

At a meeting Thursday, the committee decided to write to the supervisors about the project plans.

The committee is concerned with the design and landscape.

If the Sheetz is approved, the committee would like to see a visually appealing gas station that doesn't take away from the Presque Isle park entrance.

"It's not really a position for or against, it really is a concern for sustainable green design along the Peninsula boulevard so we can enhance the view," said Harry Leslie, park manager.

The supervisors will discuss the plans at the February 5th meeting.
