Perry 200 Commemoration Teams up with Bayhawks

JANUARY 27, 2013- The Perry 200 Commemoration has teamed up with the Erie Bayhawks to bring basketball fans and the Erie community Perry 200 day.

Students from JoannaConnellElementary School presented a mini-pageant during half-time of the Bayhawks game against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants this afternoon.

The pageant, which is titled one moment in time: Erie's moment of greatness, depicted the building of Oliver Hazard Perry's Great Lakes Fleet here in Erie.

Paper commodore hats were given to the first five-hundred kids in attendance.

The theme was to remind Erie citizens of the cities great history.
