Flu Continues to be a Health Problem

Influenza numbers in Erie County continue to reflect a significant health problem.

Week to week reporting indicates 81 new cases reported to the Erie County Health Department during the period from January 21 until this morning.

The total number of reported, diagnosed cases of flu in Erie County now stands at 666.

57 of those cases have resulted in hospitalization.

Three people have died from flu related causes this season.
