Students Create Wall to Highlight Human Trafficking

January 29th, 2013

Students in McDowell High School's Exposure group are helping to shed light on one of the worlds most controversial topics, human trafficking.

The students created a wall representing the number of slaves currently in the world, as well as other facts about human and child trafficking.

The exposure group has also made wristbands and t-shirts to sell to the student body. Money raised will go to the non-profit organization, Free International, which is building safe houses across the country where education, medical, and basic care and shelter are offered.

The students hope that the wall will raise awareness on human trafficking, and encourage others to become involved with the cause.
