Erie Police Respond to Body Found at Bus Stop Shelter

to Deputy Coroner Dennis Suscheck, security cameras captured
Just after 10 he was found unresponsive.
When
Deputy Coroner Suscheck tells us the official cause of death won't be released until toxicology results come back in three weeks.
But
he says
Several people who frequent MHA claim they saw Butler at the facility the night he died. However, Mental
Health Association officials say they have no record of Marvin Butler being at MHA just prior to his death.
MHA
has a policy where if you come into the facility under the influence you must
leave, but you can still wait in the foyer of the building.
Since we started following this story, there have been conflicting reports about the status of
Action News has confirmed Marvin Butler was a tenant at the Lodge on Sass. Records indicate Butler resided at the transitional housing apartment for nearly a year.
Tina Butler says her brother was a family man who was active at his church.
She admits he has battled mental illness and alcohol abuse in the past, so it's possible he may have relpased and become disoriented. She thinks Marvin Butler may have stopped to rest at the bus stop because he uses a cane and has trouble walking long distances. The family believes he fell asleep and became a victim of hypothermia.
