Millcreek Police Officer Benefit Brings in Thousands of Dollars

Hundreds of people attended a benefit for Millcreek police officer Brandon Heynes, who got into a snowmobile accident late last month. The benefit was held at Crossfit FBO/212 Degrees of Fitness at 1311 Chestnut St, Erie.

Event coordinators say the event was expected to raise nearly $8000 for Heynes.

Heynes' brother, Christian, says the family is extremely grateful for the community's support.

Christian says his brother is making great progress. However, the road to recovery will be a long one.

A Trust Fund in Brandon Heynes & Erine Kline's name is set up at the Millcreek NorthWest Savings Bank at 2863 W. 26th St, if you would like to donate to Heynes in his time of need.
