February 12th, 2013

Gannon University is doing its part in the fight against breast cancer, and they're honoring some local survivors too.

The event is called Pink Zone, and it's a college basketball event to raise money for breast cancer awareness and research.

The funds will stay local, so breast cancer survivors in our region will benefit.
Survivors will be honored and one freshman on the women's basketball team is playing for her aunt.

If you'd like to attend, the event takes place Saturday at the Hammermill Center at Gannon.

The women's game is at 1 pm, and the men's game is at 3 pm.
Admission is free. You can donate while you're there, and you can call ahead for t-shirts at 814-871-5791.
