2/16/13

It's becoming an annual tradition at Courtney's Cause For Cancer, some folks coming to the event with hair, and leaving the event with a shaved head.

This is the 3rd year Courtney Theiman put on the event at the Ambassador.
Courtney is a cancer survivor and decided to raise money for the John Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation.
Several hundred people have attended each year and part of the event involves some folks volunteering to have their heads shaved.

Courtney says when she was going through cancer treatment,  loosing her hair was one of the hardest things, so now she has turned it into a positive.
The first year she held the event, she had her head shaved.

Courtney's Cause For Cancer has raised nearly 50 thousand dollars in the first 2 years and hopes to add several thousand dollars when this year's total is added.
