This week's featured good kid always puts others first, no matter the circumstances.
It's a quality that warms the heart.
Traci Teudhope introduces us to a young lady who picks up the pieces when life seems to be crumbling around her.
You might see 12-year-old Brittany Metzler picking up trash along the road, or helping out a number of local charities.
Brittany Metzler, 12-years-old,: "I'm blessed with a good life and with everything that's going on, I just want to give back."
She's got a heart of gold and strong character.
Brittany keeps her head held high through unimaginable struggles.
Most of us couldn't imagine walking in her shoes.
Her mom faced stage 4 breast cancer. Her grandmother waged her own battle with cancer, and Brittany was diagnosed with a tumor in her hip, all at the same time.
Through it all, Brittany focused on caring for her mom.
Brittany: "Just help her out, shower her and change her blood bag."

Jane Gibson, family friend,: "Even through all that, she was just so bent on making sure her mom was okay, making gifts for doctors and doing things for everyone else around her."
Her compassionate and giving nature is something her mom truly treasures.
Cindy Metzler, Brittany's mom,: "She's been my rock. She's carried me through."
