The Pennsylvania state trooper accused in a fatal DUI accident back in February of last year will be in court next week.
It's an update we're first to bring to you right here on Jet 24 new this noon hour.

Court officials tell us that 35-year-old Jeffery D'Alessandro will be entering a guilty plea in front of Judge William Cunningham Wednesday February 27th.

D'Alessandro is facing charges including homicide by motor vehicle while driving under the influence in the death of 21-year-old Daryl Nunemaker.

The accident happened last February 8th on Route 6N at Old Meadville Road.
According to the testimony, D'Alessandro crossed the center lane and crashed into Nunemaker's car.

We're told that D'Alessandro did admit to having several beers that night.
Both the prosecution and the defense in the case tell us they cannot comment about the plea at this time.

There will be lots more shame to dole out when we see what kind of plea deal this fool gets from our elected judiciary. A cop who killed a young man while driving drunk should never have even been offered a plea. He should have had to endure the humiliation of a trial and received the severest sentence possible. Instead, he will get a slap on the wrist from our so-called justice system.
