The Race for Erie County Sheriff Is On

February 20, 2013 - A Deputy Sheriff has tossed his hat into the ring to be the next County Sheriff.

Randy Boga announced his candidacy at the VFW Post 470 on West 26th Street.

He's served as a Deputy Sheriff in Erie County for the past 13 years.

He's running on the Democratic ticket for the position that's going to be left vacant by current Sheriff Bob Merski who has held that office since 1997.

Boga's name will be on the primary ballot on May 21st.
