The latest news from Yahoo, not allowing it's employees to work from home, is a hot topic.
Right here in Erie, one of the area's largest employers Erie Insurance, allows workers to do their job from home.

A worker we talked to and an official from Erie Insurance say it's a win-win situation for those who are interested.

Erie Insurance employee Julia Dutton has been at the company for fifteen years.
Two years ago she started doing claims for one of Erie's largest employers.
She was given the option to start working from home in December and didn't pass up the opportunity.
Dutton loves her flexibility and says her productivity has skyrocketed.

Vice President of human resources at Erie Insurance says the company has a flexible work arrangement program.
Erie Insurance has 45 hundred employees in eleven states and Washington D.C. and several take advantage of the companies' program.

Dutton's core hours at home are from noon to five and she works around her schedule for her other hours.
