Residential Garage Destroyed by Fire

February 28, 2013

A residential garage was demolished by fire in Crawford County.

The call came into the Cambridge Springs fire department just after 5 a.m on Thursday morning.

The garage on Birchard Road was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.

The rural area made it tough to keep the water supply going, so firefighters had to return to the fire house for more water.

Firefighters were able to keep the garage fire from spreading to the house.

By 7 a.m., just hot spots remained, but the garage was a total loss.

Cambridge Springs, Edinboro, Venango and Mill Village fire departments responded to fire.
