North East Man Allegedly Stabbed to Death by Fiance in Australia
FEBRUARY 28, 2013- A former North East man is dead after his fiance allegedly stabbed him, that according to the Sydney Morning Herald.
The Australian paper reports that Gregory Peck was stabbed once in the chest just before midnight this past Saturday.
The 32 year old's fianc, Marcela Castaneda was charged with the murder, but has been granted bail after the magistrate found there were "exceptional circumstances" in the case.
The Herald sites a police report that alleges the pair were involved in an argument in their suburban Australia home when the woman reached for a knife and stabbed peck.
Peck was a 1998 graduate of North East High School.
Peck's body is expected to be brought back to North East.
Elkins Funeral Home officials confirmed they will be handling services.
