FEBRUARY 28, 2013- The 27-year-old woman involved in a West side crash Monday evening has died...

She's also been identified by police.

            Amanda Watkins died Wednesday morning.

Her family says Amanda was one of the most loving people in the world, but her emotions got the best of her Monday evening.

It was Monday evening when Amanda Watkins crashed her SUV into six parked cars in the 1100 block of West 21st Street.

Her SUV then rolled over and she was ejected.

Amanda's stepmother Diane Andrews says a lot of rumors and lies have been circulating following the crash.

She says Amanda had gotten into an argument with her girlfriend and began to drive away in her SUV down West 21st Street.

Her stepmother says Amanda swerved to avoid hitting a pedestrian, and hit several parked cars.

Erie Police Chief Steve Franklin says there were reports Watkins was driving erratically and she tried to speed up to get away from police.

However, Amanda's stepmother Diane Andrews says Amanda would not do that, and she was driving purely on emotions.

            Amanda was an organ donor.

            Two lives will be saved.

There is a fund set up at the IBEW Local 56 Credit Union on West 20th Street.

Amanda's funeral service will be at Dusckas Funeral Home.
