Eagle Scouts Earn Recognition from Community, Political Leaders
-->In a special banquet award ceremony this afternoon at Saint Bonafice Church in Erie, Joshua and Michael Bowers (both 17), and Keith Strain (18) earned many awards and citations from community leaders, as well as political figures.
The Bowers brothers and Strain have been involved with the Scouts since they were children.
The three young men were given awards and citations for special projects they completed in the community.
Joshua's special project involved building a stone patio at Kuhl Hose Fire Department on Route 8, Michael's special project involved painting the inside of the Kuhl Hose Fire Department on Kuhl Road, and Keith's special project involved building a dugout for the Wattsburg Little League.
The three also received special awards from PA representative Curt Sonney, US Representative Glenn Thompson, and Lieutenant Michael Kabasinski.
