Kennerdell Death Ruled Accidental

March 7, 2013-A Venango County man is dead after a vehicle he was working on rolled off its jack stands.

Eighteen-year-old Carl Wickline III was working under his 1997 Ford Explorer Tuesday evening. According to police he was removing the transmission when the vehicle rolled, the supporting jack stands fell, trapping him.

Wickwire's father found him Wednesday morning, jacked up the vehicle and attempted to resuscitate him.

Clintonville volunteers and Pennsylvania State police responded to the scene,  but Wickline was pronounced dead at the scene by Venango County coroner Tyler Best.

The cause of death was preliminarily ruled to be asphyxiation due to blunt force trauma.
