One record down, and one more to go.

The Mercyhurst rowing team, Hurst students and community members have successfully broken a Guinness world record for having the most people row at one time for 500 meters.

Event coordinator and co-captain of the rowing team Jeff Murt says he is so proud of the community for breaking the record.
 
The mens' rowing team is attempting to break another world record in just a few hours.

The team is well on track to break the record for rowing the greatest distance on a rowing machine in a 24 hour period.
