March 21st, 2013

It's World Down Syndrome Day, and the Millcreek School District is making a difference.

Asbury Elementary is one of those schools raising awareness.
The students have been learning what down syndrome is and why it's important to include everyone.

Four of their classmates have down syndrome.
As part of World Down Syndrome Day, the children took part in the "lots of socks" campaign.
They're wearing bright colored or unique socks, all for a good cause.

World Down Syndrome Day is recognized by the United Nations to celebrate people with down syndrome.
