Power Outage
Penelec crews spent part of Wednesday morning scrambling to restore power in parts of Erie and Millcreek.
More than 800 homes and businesses in the vicinity of West 12th Street and Peninsula Drive were left in the dark.
Police were on hand to control traffic were lights had gone out.
Penelec officials say the outage was caused by a wire down at their substation west of Greengarden, and at this point, theyre investigating what exactly caused the downed wire.
Power was out for about an hour.
