Erie Celebrates Easter

From inside their churches to the Erie City Mission the celebration of Easter was loud and clear. The Shiloh Baptist Church recognized the day Jesus is believed to have risen from the dead with songs and prayer of thanks. Parishioners from St. Peter`s Cathedral also packed the pews to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and they listened at St. John`s Lutheran Church to the holy story of how Jesus Christ rose from the dead three days after his crucifixion. Christians believe that Jesus died as part of God`s plan so that our sins will be forgiven.
